Siem Reap to Sen Monorom

The Rithya Mondulkiri Express has a service that operates once a day from Siem Reap to Sen Monorom.   Now you will no longer need to go via Phnom Penh and change minivans there to visit the elephants at the Mondulkiri Project.  This minivan travels through Kampong Cham and stops for lunch and several toilet stops.

It is best to book their tickets online via this website.  If booking online is a problem you can call Yar on 097 909 7222 and he will be able to tell you if there are seats available.

The Rithya Mondulkiri Express minivan leaves daily at 7.45am and arrives in Sen Monorom around 4pm.   Please arrive at their bus stop in Siem Reap 30 minutes prior to departure.

Their bus stop is located at Borey Seang Nam (main Siem Reap bus station).

The trip by tuk tuk from town to their bus stop is around 20 minutes and will cost $3-$5.

There is a local cafe next door selling breakfast.  It serves fried pork/fried chicken and soups. Cost 5000r – 6000r

Before you depart from Siem Reap to Sen Monorom we recommend you book a one or two day elephant tour at the award winning Mondulkiri Project.

The Mondulkiri Project’s one day elephant tour is a day visit to their elephant sanctuary to feed and walk with their 5 rescued elephants.  In the afternoon you will get the opportunity to swim at their waterfall and wash three elephants there.  Lunch is provided at their lodge in the jungle.  Tour price is $50usd.

The Mondulkiri Project’s two day elephant tour is their most popular tour.  One day is a visit to their elephant sanctuary to spend time with their 5 elephants as mentioned above.  Next it is time to try some hill tribe food for dinner, cooked  in a piece of bamboo over an open fire.  Rice wine for dessert and then sleeping in comfortable hammocks in their Jungle Lodge.  Day two is an 18km jungle trek with an expert hill tribe guide to visit waterfalls and a cave.  Four meals and accommodation is included in the tour price of $80usd

We hope to meet you soon.
