Princess is our oldest elephant at 75 years old, and she has lived a hard life. For years she was used for tourist elephant rides. During that time she slipped, and a branch pierced her eye — she has been blind on that side ever since. Her teeth are now falling out with age, which makes eating difficult and means she needs extra attention from her mahout every single day. But here in Mondulkiri, Princess is safe. She spends her days moving slowly through the forest, rarely more than a few steps from her devoted companion Comvine. She may move more slowly than she once did, but she is calm, she is cared for, and she is free.

Sponsor Princess Today
Tourism in Cambodia has been slow in 2025 and 2026, but Princess needs daily care every day of the year. Your monthly sponsorship goes directly to the mahout’s wages, veterinary care, and the land that keeps our elephants safe.
