Rumkeurn

Rumkeurn is the male elephant in our herd. He is originally from Bou Sra waterfall, where he was once used for tourist rides. We found him tied to a tree near Putang Village, so we immediately got to work trying to negotiate with his owners to buy him and let him retire to our sanctuary.. Rumkeurn lost sight in his left eye during his years working in the tourism industry. Today he can finally enjoy a peaceful life roaming the forests of Mondulkiri.
