* * June to September is rainy season so the walking track can be wet and slippery which makes the trek more difficult **
day one we start a very physically demanding two day trek. It is always off the beaten track, you have to cross the river and walk over logs placed at high heights.
We will drive to the hill tribe village of Domrei Jon. From here we start trekking until we arrive at the impressive Kbal Preah waterfall for lunch and a swim. After lunch we will continue trekking until we arrive at our jungle campsite where will have dinner and sleep in comfortable hammocks. There is no shower or toilet on night one and no electricity to charge your phones. You need to carry the hammock we provide for you and water until night two. It is a good idea to bring snacks for the trek too. A head torch would also be helpful.
On day two we will continue trekking. You will see small hill tribe farms that have been cut into the jungle where they practice subsistence farming. Sadly you will also see recent logging and burnt forests. We walk past a waterfall and cave and then stop for lunch and a swim at two waterfalls. Later cross the river and arrive at our Jungle Lodge for campfire, hill tribe bamboo soup, rice wine, cards and sleep time in hammocks. Approximately 15km for each of first two days of trekking (30km total)
On day three after pancakes for breakfast you will meet our four elephants in our protected forest. Feeding and washing these beautiful animals in an unforgettable experience.
